It was not so much a particular view of the vineyard that moves Rea to create her colorful Central Valley vineyard oil paintings.

Rea draws inspiration from a sense of place, the light casting and shadows forming at a particular time,
inviting art collectors to "savor the colors of a moment."

Ann Rea is reviving the tradition of the French Impressionists, with a contemporary point of view.

Winemakers take her on a tour of their vineyards where she actually plants her easel to capture
the colors as they change with the seasons.
